INVISALIGN®

Invisalign® is among the foremost orthodontic treatments available today, able to produce incredible results without anyone being able to notice you are wearing braces. Invisalign® uses clear plastic aligners to gradually guide the teeth into position. It provides an innovative solution for people who want straighter teeth but are worried about wearing bulky, unsightly braces.

About Invisalign® braces

The Invisalign® system creates straight, attractive smiles without the need for any painful metal brackets and wires. Unlike conventional orthodontic treatments Invisalign® does not use braces – instead you wear a series of clear plastic aligners, which are designed to be invisible and provide maximum comfort and flexibility for the individual. The aligners can be removed to eat, drink and clean your teeth.

Treatment time

Treatment time varies according to the individual, but it is typically complete within 18 months. On average treatment times are around half as long as traditional fixed braces. Each aligner should be worn for 2 weeks at a time, before being replaced with the next aligner in the series, and you should wear the aligner for at least 22 hours per day for optimum results.

During the treatment process, you will see your Invisalign® certified dentist every 6-8 weeks for scheduled checks and adjustment.
