All On 4

The All-on-4 dental implant system is a ground-breaking treatment, which enables a full arch of teeth to be anchored by only four implants. Implants are titanium screws anchored into the jawbone to substitute the root section of missing teeth. In terms of traditional dental implant treatment, around six and ten implants will generally be enough to support a full arch.

How does All-on-4 differ to other Implant Systems?

All-on-4 differs to normal implants because the system uses just 4 implants to support a full arch. The All-on-4 implants are placed at specific angles to allow optimum anchorage and performance.

What are the benefits of All-on-4?

Since only four implants are necessary to support the arch, this means less dental visits and quicker healing. The procedure is also less invasive and there is usually no need for bone grafting. All-on-4 implants can be placed on the same day as new restorations, so you can start enjoying your smile immediately.

The procedure

If you are interested in All-on-4 we recommend you contact us to arrange a consultation, during which we will check your suitability for treatment. This is done through an examination of your mouth and taking impressions of your teeth and gums. We will also conduct tests to see if any teeth need removing before the implants can be placed. The consultation also provides an opportunity for you to ask questions about the treatment process or the implants. We will be happy to provide you with relevant answers.

All-on-4 dental implants must be placed at specific angles to allow maximum anchorage for the arch; the implants at the rear are placed at an angle of 45 degrees and the front implants fitted at 90 degrees. Once the implants are in place an abutment will be attached, which is used to connect the new restoration to the implant. When the abutment is securely fixed into place, the restoration can then be attached. Your dentist will ensure you are happy with the look before they fix the restoration into position.

After the procedure is complete your dentist will advise you on how to look after your implants and discuss follow-up appointments. You will also need to attend regular check-ups to enable your dentist to monitor your progress.
